Illumio Core Associate: SaaS

This course will introduce you to Illumio Core by defining segmentation and providing an overview of the Illumio Core platform.   

This course will explain the concept of labels used in Illumio Core. It will also explain how to label your workloads, and pair them to the PCE. You will learn about the steps required to implement Illumio security policies. Before you take this course, please make sure you have taken the following course(s): Introduction to Illumio Core (Self-paced).   

This course will teach you how to install, manage, and troubleshoot the Virtual Enforcement Node (VEN) software on a workload. Before you take this course, please make sure you have taken the following course(s): Introduction to Illumio Core (Self-paced) and Workloads and Labeling.    

This course covers policy concepts, policy management basics, segmentation strategies, policy objects and provisioning for Illumio Core version 22.5 and above using Illumination Plus.Before you take this course, please make sure you have taken the following course(s): Introduction to Illumio Core (Self-paced), and Workloads and Labeling.   

This course covers how to use the Illumio Core visualization tools of Illumination, App Group Maps, and Explorer for traffic analysis, policy development, and testing policy rules. Before you take this course, please make sure you have taken the following course(s): Introduction to Illumio Core (Self-paced), Workloads and Labeling, and Policy Management 1 and 2.   

This course will teach you Rule-writing in detail using Illumio Core. You will learn how you can use the Policy Generator to easily write your security policies. You will also learn about various approaches and strategies that can be used to refine your security policies. You will learn about the SecureConnect option that can be used to encrypt data in motion. Finally, this course will teach you how the PCE calculates policies when various scopes and rules are used in a ruleset.Before you take this course, please make sure you have taken the following course(s): Introduction to Illumio Core (Self-paced), Workloads ​&​ Labeling, Policy Management Level 1.    

This course will cover user administration using the Illumio Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) features. You will learn the default roles and how to create custom roles for control over access to specific parts of the system.
