Overview

A dedicated custom class designed for a specific organization
Curriculum aimed at providing a working knowledge of the Illumio platform
The course is a blend of theory and hands-on labs with practice course material
Classes can be held onsite (customer's) or virtually

Who should attend?

Designed for security leaders, infrastructure and cloud security experts, SOC and security operations team, application owners, developers, and administrators responsible for protecting application data.

Prerequisites

No formal prerequisites are required; however, a basic understanding of networking concepts is recommended. This includes the OSI model, the TCP/IP protocol suite, and foundational network security controls such as access control lists, firewall rules, subnetting (VLSM), and security zones.

Can the curriculum be custom designed for my organization?

Yes, all private classes have an option to custom-design the curriculum, within the limits of content availability.

What is the difference between the 3-day the 5-day Private Training?

In addition to the content of the 3-day, the 5-day teaches the student how to use the product for deeper, advanced policy creation scenarios as well as using agent and agentless containers. The 5-day also covers how to use the product from an incident response perspective.
The curriculum of all private training courses can be custom designed to suit your organization's learning requirements.

What does the Illumio Training Annual Subscription include?

The 12-month Illumio Training Annual Subscription (IL-PS-TRN-SUB) begins on your first day of class and is included with private training packages of 3-days and above.
This includes access to Illumio's Training Portal, that provides ability to enroll in unlimited self-paced training courses and live instructor-led public courses in the Expert curriculum. Please see the "Illumio Platform Learning Path (Recommendation)" for more details on the Expert curriculum.
2 Illumio Certification Exams and 1 retake.

Can we take an Illumio Certification Exam after attending a private class?

You will be able to take an Illumio Certification Exam after attending a private class. Please note that Illumio training offers various levels of certification exams.

When are classes available?

Private classes will be offered in your local time zone. We will work with you to schedule your class.
Private classes run for 8 hours per day. This includes a 1-hour lunch break, and morning and afternoon breaks.

Do we need to provide a list of students that would be attending a private class?

Illumio Training requires a list of students from your organization that would be attending a private class.
Please provide the student list to your Illumio account representative or email it to training@illumio.com.
Please note that Illumio Training allows unregistered students to attend first hour of the private class. This section covers "Intro to Illumio". The remainder of the class can only be attended by registered students, as per the student list.

Is forwarding the webinar invite to other non-registered students allowed?

No, Illumio does not allow forwarding webinar invites to non-registered students.
