101 Intro to Illumio ZTS

This introductory course provides an overview of the Illumio platform, designed for those with basic network knowledge. You’ll learn about the company, understand segmentation and how it functions in the platform, and explore how Illumio protects your systems. The course also introduces the main components of the platform and their roles, giving you a foundational understanding of how the Illumio solution works. Previously: 101 Intro to Core   

110 Labels & Policy Objects

This course covers a detailed introduction to labels and policy objects within the Illumio platform, building on the "Introduction to Illumio" course. You’ll learn the importance of labels in workload identification and policy rules, and how to define and use both standard and flexible labels. Additionally, the course covers IP Lists, Label Groups, and Services, providing a comprehensive understanding of their role in enforcing security policies. Previously: 110 Workloads ​&​ Labeling

130 Policy Management I

This intermediate course teaches the fundamentals of policy management within the Illumio platform, requiring completion of the "Introduction to Illumio" course. You’ll explore how policies work, including various options and types, and learn to create and apply rules. The course also covers the use of Illumio’s visualization tools for evaluating network flows.

140 Traffic Visualization

This course covers how to use the Illumio Core visualization tools of Illumination, App Group Maps, and Explorer for traffic analysis, policy development, and testing policy rules. Before you take this course, please make sure you have taken the following course(s): Introduction to Illumio Core (Self-paced), Workloads and Labeling, and Policy Management 1 and 2.   

150 Policy Management II and Endpoint

This course builds on your knowledge of policy management in the Illumio platform, following the completion of "Introduction to Illumio" and "Illumio Policy Management 1." You’ll learn advanced policy concepts, how to write scopeless and scoped rules, apply segmentation strategies, and manage policy changes. The course also introduces Endpoint policies and covers how to implement and troubleshoot them.

160 User Administration

Focused on User Administration within the Illumio platform, this intermediate course requires prior completion of "Introduction to Illumio." The course covers essential user management tasks, including the diference between local and external users, adding and removing users from the PCE, applying access restrictions, adding service accounts, and troubleshooting basic user permission issues. Previously: 160 RBAC

This intermediate course focuses on the functions of the Illumio API, requiring prior completion of "Introduction to Illumio Core." You’ll learn about the core API functions (POST, GET, PUT, DELETE) and various authentication methods. The course also introduces the basics of using an Illumio API tool, such as the Workloader command-line tool.

The PCE Troubleshooting course guides you through foundational skills and knowledge you need to troubleshoot the Illumio Core Policy Compute Engine (PCE). In this course, you’ll get an overview of common issues you may need to troubleshoot along with demonstrations of troubleshooting different aspects of the Illumio Core PCE, like operations, maintenance and performance.Before taking this course, please make sure you have taken the following courses: Introduction to Illumio Core (Self-paced), Workloads ​&​ Labeling, Policy Management I, Policy Management II, Traffic Visualization, Policy Management III, PCE Admin I and PCE Admin II.

330 Containers

This course will teach you the architecture, key concepts, and the integration requirements to use Illumio Core with Kubernetes or OpenShift.You will learn how Illumio Core provides visibility and segmentation for containerized applications. Before you take this course, please make sure you have taken the following course(s): Introduction to Illumio Core (Self-paced) before taking this course.

410 VEN Deployment Quick Start

This video course will teach you available methods for the deployment of the Illumio Core™ Virtual Enforcement Node (VEN).

420 Illumio Adaptive User Segmentation

Illumio Adaptive User Segmentation (Self Paced) is a standalone course that does not fall under any Learning Path.

440 Illumio Network Enforcement Node

When a VEN cannot be installed for visualization purposes, Illumio has an extended policy model that utilizes switches and the switch interface called the Network Enforcement Node (NEN). This course allows users to gain familiarity with Illumio Core's NEN. This course is a standalone course that does not fall under any Learning Path. 

450 Vulnerability Management

Illumio Core provides vulnerability based micro segmentation, which can be managed through App group maps and Qualys cloud platform to target the most vulnerable areas of the PCE. Vulnerability Management (Self Paced) is a standalone course that is not part of a Learning Path.

460 Illumio Tools

In this course, tools are recommended that can be paired to the PCE for ease of use; C++ Absorption Toolkit and Workloader Tool. Illumio Tools (Self Paced) is a standalone class that does not fall under any Illumio Learning Path. This is a supplemental class for those who would like to learn more about the solution. 

510 Illumio CloudSecure

This video course will introduce you to CloudSecure and teach you how to onboard your AWS and Azure cloud accounts. This course also covers how to define deployments, applications, map labels, and how to write policy using CloudSecure.

540 Illumio for Azure Firewall

This course teaches you how to onboard and use Illumio Azure Firewall. Illumio Azure Firewall allows you to use Real-time traffic data to guide in the creation and implementation of well-designed access rules that protect critical parts of your network from cloud-based security threats.
